Belong where you already are.

Outdoor connection in everyday locales.

Reconnect to what’s quietly alive within you

Breathe Deep, Welcome Nature:
Your Forest Awaits

Through guided nature experiences, discover how gentle attention outdoors can renew your sense of belonging, presence, and enoughness. Ordinary Nature offers forest-bathing beyond the forest—a chance to reconnect with your inner refuge and innate wisdom as a way of life.

Rooted in Experience. Guided by Nature.

I’m Jennifer Keller, a former humanities professor turned forest bathing guide and eco-spiritual mentor, devoted to helping people return to presence, connection, and enoughness. After years in high-pressure academic spaces, it was the quiet rhythm of the desert and the everyday wild that helped me reconnect my mind, body, and heart. Now I teach others how small, steady moments outdoors can shift your whole inner terrain. I’m so glad you’re here—let’s begin right where you are.

My Philosophy

Here’s a brief overview of my approach to nature-based mentorship:

A Leader in Holistic Education & Nature Therapy

Welcome to Ordinary Nature! I’m Jennifer Keller, founder of Ordinary Nature, and am excited to connect with you on your nature journey. A little about me:

I’ve worked in higher education and holistic educational environments. My passion is integrating “brain knowledge” and “heart knowledge” in place-based, experiential settings. My background in education, nonprofit management, and other group leadership settings informs my guidance in how individual solitude practices relate to group development.

As a former professor and published writer, I blend experiential learning modes with creative practices and scientific research about nature’s impact on human health. I have a PhD (Stanford University) in the study of religion and am a certified forest therapy guide (through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy) and Morning Altars facilitator.

My combination of experience and training lets me integrate evidence about nature’s healing properties with experiential modalities to create robust, well-rounded experiences for students and clients.
